Deep desert warmth
Our natural hot spring. Right by the lake.
Our hot spring is fed by naturally hot water drawn directly from more than 1,000 metres beneath the earth. It comes from the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System, deep below the eastern Sahara. The same well brings its naturally hot water directly to the showers.
The world’s largest known fossil-water aquifer system holds ancient groundwater within layers of rock beneath the desert. At the lodge, this deep warmth becomes a quiet moment under the open sky, with the lake stretching out before you.

Meet Salama. Artist and owner.
Salama is the owner and artist behind Siwa Salt Lake Lodge. He designed the lodge’s architecture himself, bringing his own creative vision to this place on the lakeshore.
The curved domes, warm earth tones and quiet corners reflect a personal approach to the lodge. For Salama, welcoming you is part of that same story: a place to share, to settle in and to experience Siwa at your own pace.
